Cultural Events at Akontisma

The cultural life of Nea Karvali is enriched by the traditional settlement of Akontisma, which plays a central role in presenting and promoting the work of local cultural contributors. Every summer, the settlement comes to life through the Great Festival, featuring performances, concerts, and theatrical events that attract visitors and celebrate artistic expression.

Academic Events and Presentations

The museum further promotes the history and cultural heritage of the Cappadocian Greeks through the organization of symposiums and book presentations. These events focus on the historical course, traditions, and identity of the Greeks of Cappadocia (Rum or Karamanlides), as well as topics related to their religious life, monastic communities such as Gelveri and Zincidere (Caesarea), and their artistic and cultural achievements.
